ABOUT JUNIOR SPARTAN PTO

The Junior Spartan PTO, in common purpose with the Mountain Brook Council PTO, will: 

• promote the welfare of the children and youth in home, school, and community.
• support the efforts of providing an effective, challenging, and engaging education for every one of our students.
• bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.

PTO FUNDING

Each year the PTO sponsors several grade level events, provides support for our teachers and/or their classrooms, assists the school in many tasks that require outside help, and provides funds in response to school requests for things such as teacher training, student/parent educational programs, robotics, TedX, STEM, technology and renovating or refreshing spaces in our school.

Following are a few specific examples of how sponsorships help improve our school: 

• complete renovation of the flooring in the old gym
• purchase of 27 promethean boards for various classrooms throughout the school
• installation of new gym sound system
• purchase of new classroom furniture
• sponsorship of grade-level events, Spartan Day, Teacher Appreciation, and much more.
